Adding Native Ground Covers to our Northeast Pollinator Plants Catalog

We are gearing up to add native ground cover plants to our Northeast Pollinator Plants catalog this spring.  Adding ground covers to your planting can eliminate the need to manage weeds with mulching and can provide even more nesting opportunities and host plants for our beloved pollinators.  We hope to have these items added to our listings soon! Many states across the country are preparing Pollinator Protection Plans in response President Obama's memorandum in June 2014 requesting an interagency Task Force to create a "Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators".  I am honored to be selected to serve on the Vermont Pollinator Protection Committee that was formed this September, 2016, as representing vegetable farmers along with our close friend, John Hayden of The Farm Between, representing tree fruit farmers.
