Notes:  Eutrochium purpureum (Sweet Joe-Pye Weed) is nice in open woodlands and naturalizing areas.  Great value to bees and butterflies.  More tolerant of drier soils than Eutrochium maculatum.  Noted as deer-resistant by UVM.
