Notes:  Filipendula rubra (Queen of the Prairie) is a showy, statuesque naturalizing perennial with large pink plumes attracting lots of butterflies.  It can handle full sun, but the leaves can scorch if the soil is dry.

Noted as deer-resistant by UVM. 

Naturalized in all of New England and native to Upper Midwestern US:  Biota of North America Program (BONAP) – North American Plant Atlas (NAPA).
